 Specializing in planning and engineering services, duties include all phases of site planning and engineering for residential, commercial development and public development including grading, earthwork, drainage and utilities; duties have included analysis of soils, roadway or embankment material, bulkhead and marina design, dredging plans, stormwater management design, sanitary design, pump stations, utilities, transportation, traffic and all other facets of site development work; also responsible for planning services and obtaining permits for site development projects, Water Quality Management Plans, Waste Water Management Plans and NJPDES permits, responsibilities have included appearance as an expert on behalf of clientele to discuss reports and designs before numerous planning and regulatory authorities.

 Duties include overseeing entire office and professional operation.  Daily activities include client contact, administrative operations and office policy decisions, direct supervision of all planning and engineering design, facility management and capital reinvestment.  Direct staff of five people and coordinate subcontractors and sub consultants.

 Duties also include preparation of reports and documents, and attendance at all planning and zoning board meetings and meetings of governing bodies, including performance of Municipal, Planning Board and Zoning Board consultant work.

 Technical responsibilities include master planning and design of all site improvements, including roadways, parking lots, grading, drainage, stormwater quantity and stormwater analysis, soil erosion plans, traffic control and traffic analysis, roadway improvements, bulkheads, earthwork, soils investigations, utility design including water, sanitary sewers, pump stations, Municipal Wastewater Management Plans, NPDES permits, hydrogeologic investigations, on site sewage disposal systems, lighting plans.

Mr. Dixon has appeared as expert witness in many court cases involving various development issues.

 Projects have included residential site plans and subdivisions from 2 to 4,000 units; commercial site plans from 1,500 square feet to over 1,000,000 square feet; Casino Hotels  (site work), Golf Courses; Marinas. Public projects have included planning, engineering and transportation engineering services for municipalities and county agencies.

 Prior to the formation of Dixon Associates, Mr. Dixon worked for the private sector consulting industry as a project engineer in charge of planning and zoning board reviews and site plan and subdivision designs for private clients, including several casino developments in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Thereafter, he was a Project Manager in charge of Roads for the Allegheny County Department of Engineering and Construction in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then the ninth largest county in the US where he was in charge of managing multiple Federal Aid Highway projects, road opening and detour permits and annual road reconstruction programs involving over 400 miles of County roads in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Mr. Dixon has over thirty-five years of experience managing roadway and infrastructure projects, traffic and transportation issues as well as land use planning and design.
